I love to incorporate literacy and science. It is one of the easiest ways to make your lesson plans cross-curricular! Our next third grade science unit is Force and Motion and then Simple Machines. I have some great suggestions for read alouds to go along with these units! Check some of these books out and try incorporating them into your science unit!
One of these books would be a great way to introduce the Force and Motion or Simple Machines unit. Some other resources that would be a great addition to your science lessons! Here are some science and literacy google slide activities that include passages about force, motion, friction, resistance, and more! They are printable and digital which makes them perfect for hybrid, virtual or in-person learning!
They include some picture vocabulary cards and close reading/fill in the blank sentences.
There is also this Simple Machines activity which is great for supplementing your lessons with passages about simple machines, including a passage about each type of simple machine. The product has drag and drop activities, simple machine hunts, labeling levers, and STEM activities that are designed to completed in the classroom or at home!
You can check out these products by clicking on the SHOP tab at the top of the blog or by clicking on any of the pictures! Have a great and safe week!
