Are you ready for Inauguration Day 2021? I know I am! I have some great read alouds and book recommendations for you to use in your classroom this year! These books are all available on Kindle or Google Play for those of you who are teaching virtually.
The first book on this list is called Joey. It is a narrative nonfiction book about Joe Biden written by his wife Jill Biden. It is a great way to get a look into Joe Biden's childhood and life. It has great illustrations. The students will love reading this book and learning about the President elect!
The second book I'd recommend is called Kamala Harris: Rooted in Justice. This book is a narrative nonfiction book about Kamala Harris. It is a such an important thing to talk about, the first woman in office!
These two books are particular to the 2021 Inauguration and are highly recommended for next weeks activities. If you are looking for some digital or printable activities to go along with a few of these read alouds here is a product that is fun and educational.
There are passages about Joe Biden, Kamala, Inauguration Day, the Presidency, and many activities covering other things. There are also activities to go along with a few of those read alouds listed above! You can check out this product by clicking the SHOP link above or by clicking here.
