Hey guys!
Just wanted to pop in and share a few tools with you that you can use to teach geometry or just math in general in the classroom or even in distance learning via zoom or Google Meets! These tools have been a life saver for giving visual representations for the students:)
Tool #1: National Library of Learning Manipulatives
I learned about this one ten years ago in undergrad! This is a great website where you can find a TON of virtual math manipulatives online. There are manipulatives sorted by the common core math sections: number sense, algebra, geometry, measurement and data analysis. They are also sorted by grade level. Its a great resource to keep in mind when teaching math! The best part? Its free!
Tool #2: Braining Camp
Another tool that is some school districts do purchase for their teachers, but it is not super expensive either for teachers. It is $59 a year (this is not a affiliate link). I just think this is a great tool to use to reach those visual learners in your classroom. The manipulatives in this tool are a little more kid friendly shaped, but either tool #1 or #2 are a great resource.
Tool #3: Geometry TPT Resources
There are resources on teachers pay teachers that are great for checking understanding or assessing what the know. Here are three different geometry units that are great for third and fourth graders that you may be interested in your hybrid, distance, virtual or in-person teaching classrooms! The best part??? They are both print and digital!
