Hello
from Virginia!
I
have officially moved to a new state, new district, new school AND new
grade! I am living and teaching in a
small district in Virginia, that has huge schools! The school I am teaching in has 800
students!!! It seems very large for someone who has only ever taught in schools
with under 300 students. I am teaching 3rd
Grade reading and writing! There is a whole new horizon of information and
ideas for educational products when you enter a new grade. Although, I have not had many ideas for
reading and writing I am overflowing with ideas for math scoots, especially
since my co-teacher is always looking for things aligned to the Virginia
curriculum. So today I can introduce my
two new products on TeachersPayTeachers.
The first product is a Money
Scoot. The Money school is aligned to
the Virginia Standards of Learning, but are also aligned to the Measurement
standards for the common core in second grade.
The students in my class love this colorful scoot! It got them up and moving, which always is
great for kids of any age!
The
second product is the fraction scoot.
The students were struggling with show fractions as both mixed numbers
and improper fractions so this activity is to help them practice the skills.
Thanks for stopping by today! Feel free to check these products out in my shop and let me know what you think! Have a fabulous weekend!
